How do you convert 1x to 2x with imageworks?

I've downloaded it but its in German. I've opened a 1x image, unticked something then pressed start and I now have a new image called expert.img. Is this now a 2x image?

II've found the English version, but it says not a valid image.
I am trying to convert this 1x image to 2x
Cryo_Sportster_Pro_1.02_Ultra1.3b_1x.img

Is it only 2x to 1x?

squashfs images wont convert - so if ImageWorks gives an error message thus you cant convert it. Only jffs images can be converted
