Is it possible on a modded wii to run a gc game on a burnt DVD+R? or do you need a dvd mini only?

full dvd's work just fine. I have both from my modded gc and they both work on my wiinja modded wii, full and mini.

I tried burning a gcm file to a dvd last night with no evail, gave me some crap about unable to read the disc.

do you have to expand the gcm/iso to 4.7gig or anything for the files to work? I was trying a small dump of animal crossing.

I know the chip works as I successfully backed up and played my zelda.

No, I use imgburn to burn them and play all sorts of gc games on my wiinja modded wii. I use Ridata DVD's though. You might try different media. Rename the gcm file to iso

I tried it last night again. Would not boot from the disc but worked fine when booted from gcos
