Looks like it has happened.

AloneTrio from WAB (We Are Back) has released a modified version of Erant's serial dvdtool that works on consoles with the D2B chipset. These guys just gave a major boost to further development in regards to that version of the DVD drive. got my info from from another site, dont think I can post a link (against rules)
