ok..... you like Shrink and DVDDectyper (great combo .. who doesn't like them?)...... then why aren't you using RipIt4Me? they use the same programs and incorporate PLS files to help DVDDEcrypter rip the newer movies to the hard drive and then use FixVTS to take out encryptions that cause havoc with Shrink! Here... download the programs and follow the guide:

I could not agree with Ihoe more!!!!! Ripit4me is my favorite it was able to do the toughies way before the pay programs, by about two weeks...

I think you can run the file you have through VobBlanker and fixvts but that is complex and Ihoe has got it. Ripit will do this for you.

Here is my mini install guide with the download links. Give Ripit a try. I love it.

You can read the use and install instructions here: http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html (I really recommend reading this AND alkohol's guide that Ihoe posted, you will learn a lot!)

Shortie install instructions

A. If you did not have shrink installed, you would have to now, but you do! OR you don't, go here and install this first. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

B. Go to http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ and download SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe [879KB] Install this file before you proceed. You have this too? Go to step C.

C. Go to http://www.ripit4me.org/download.html and download the Version 1.6.9.0 (RipIt4Me.zip, 162 KB) file, the link is in blue.

D. Go to http://www.ripit4me.org/download.html and download the RipIt4Me installer (1.1 Mb) file, the link is in red.

E. Double click on the RipIt4Me.zip file to unpack it. Leave it.

F. Double click on the Ripit4me installer.exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.

This will put everything in the right place and you are good to go. I recommend using the one click mode for everything until you are familiar with the program. This mode will basically dump you into shrink and then you will proceed from there as you always have, but you will now have a good clean rip loaded into it.

@boferos

Another very good free app to try (when shrink or decrypter aren't cutting it)is DVDFab decrypter, it's updated to handle the newer movie releases. You can use it to backup the whole disk or just the main movie, once it's finished you can use shrink to open the files with and proceed as you normally would to create the backup.

The current version of DVDFab is 3.0.8.0, here's the link
http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DECRYPTER

Use Anydvd and believe

DVDFab HD Decrypter (free)... http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
