Would it be possible to run a linux distro. on a power mac G5?
any input is welcome.

yes yellowdog linux

its free and it even runs on ps3

but it downloads via bittorrent the manufacturer decided it would be the best way to distrubute the free linux distro

bad news

it doesn't run on intel based g5's

yes there are many distors that run on macs,you need PPC distros.

@tabletpc: there are no intel based G5's. There called Mac Pros
@MasterRE: What do you do? looks like you got a nice setup

It's just my personal computers, I bought the Mac just because I was getting tired of Windows and wanted to try something different. I have slowly upgraded componets when I have gotten some spending money.
