Hi i have just had my psp downgraded to V1.5 and have just downloaded a game for the psp. However I have no idea how to put it onto my psp. I am a complete novice so if you could explain it step by step that would be great.
Thanks

if it is looks like this: yourgamename.iso It is set to go. Make sure you have enough space on your memory stick first. Go to usb connection and drag your game to the iso folder. Once this is done, go to game under xmb and enjoy!

if its a rar, you'll need WinRAR to unzip it. most likely the file inside the rar is an iso

btw u should upgrade ur fw to 3.10oe-a. or else you wouldn't be able to run the iso even if u create the iso folder on your ms root.

thanks, I have unzipped it and it is an iso. Do I just need to make a new folder called iso in the game folder?

is your firmware version 3.10oe-a? if yes, first back up then format your memory card if you do not see the iso folder. after u format, the ISO folder will be created for you. Just copy ur iso into this folder and run from memory stick in xmb.
if you are not 3.10oe-a, you'll need other homebrew apps like devHook 0.51. I'm not sure how that works, so I can't give you any advice

yeah, you mentioned you just downgraded to v1.5 rite? 3.10oe-A is a custom firmware made by Dark_Alex.
A great guide is at

Go Settings > System Settings > System Information and see what your firmware is. If 1.5 then go to www.dark-alex.org and download 3.10 OE-A and install it like the readme for 3.03 OE-C says. If anything but that find out how to downgrade to 1.5 then update to 3.10 OE-A

To check what your firmware is, scroll to the left most icon in ur xmb. look around for system setting if i remember correctly. inside somewhere there'll be some window that tells u what version u're at

my advice: you'd better be sure what you going to do to ur psp. ALthough the steps listed under the FAQ is very clear, there is still chances you might brick ur set. Just follow the steps entailing v1.5 to 3.10OE-A in the FAQ.
If you want to play it safe, you might want to consider devHook 0.51 instead, although I haven't used that b4.

There readme in 3.10 OE-A just says to do what you normally do, so I'll tell you. Get the 1.5 update eboot and the 3.10 update eboot and called them 150.pbp and 310.pbp and put them in the folder called oeupdmaker. Now copy oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to your game folder and run the update maker from memory stick on PSP. Now move the generated data.dxar file to the 310oeflasher folder and copy 310oeflasher and 310oeflasher% to your game folder, and run the firmware install and there you go.
