What happend to the privacy policy. I thought kazaa wasn't alowed to release any personal information but how is the RIAA getting peoples usernames and other personal information? Any ideas people

The RIAA are getting it from the isp'd using DMCA law!

Streamcast which is the maker of Morpheus and Gokster won their case against the RIAA in that the judge said that they could not be held responsible for whatbtheir user did with their programs. Also said they didn't have to reveal their users names.

So like Dela said they are getting the information from users ISPs set forth in the case between the RIAA and Verison in which the RIAA won and Verison had to reveal the names of certain users the RIAA was after.
