Sony LCD and Cablevision DVR

I live on Long Island, in Nassau County and I recently purchased a top of the line, Sony, 46" LCD (KDL46XBR3).
The TV has 3 HDMI inputs. When I connect the TV to CableVisions DVR, model: Scientific Atlantic, Explorer 8300HD, with a known good HDMI cable the screen shows an error. It says the Device does not support HDCP, please use composite/component cables. This happens on all three HDMI Inputs. When same box and cable are connected to Sharp Aquos, there is no issue.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, Cablevisions tech help is no help.
