How do i get this TV to accept my PS3's 1080p output? As of right now that particular resolution is greyed out on my PS3 setup screen. I try to select it but the screen goes black. It is working fine in 1080i but i would like to get the Progressive scan working for Blu-ray and eventually when more games come out in 1080p.

Any ideas? Right now i am using a 2m HDMI cable to hook it up and optical for sound. Both monster cable and very good quality.

The XBR1 series SXRD's do not accept 1080p signals. The A2000 series and the XBR2 series SXRD's are the models that can accept 1080p signals thru HDMI. I used to have a 50 inch XBR1 but I got rid of it and switched to the XBR3 Bravia LCD panel which accepts 1080p thru HDMI. I know several AD members have the A2000 series SXRD like aabbccdd and eatsushi.

The posters you saw were still correct. The XBR1 SXRD displays 1920x1080p. It just doesn't accept a 1080p signal. A 1080i signal gets deinterlaced and is displayed as 1080p.
