DVD Shrink: Drive region incompatible

When i try to backup my DVD file after it has been shrunk, DVD Shrink gave me this Error
" failed to decrypt data:drive region incompatible."
"The reason is: Copy protection error - The current DVD's region doesnt correspond to teh region settings of teh drive. "

Im in the UK its a region 2 disk. i have DVD Shrink v2.3 and v 3.0 beta 5 bith give me the same error

It sounds like a region mis match for sure. Your Disc must be a different region to that of the writer. Use DVD Decrypter to rip it and then run it through DVD Shrink. DVD Decrypter rips in all regions, regardless of the drive's own settings.

In ran into similar problmes while backing up a Region 2 episodic disc. I did exactly what Oriphus is suggesting. But, DVDdecrypter gave me multiple versions of the episodes.

has worked for me when other software has failed before
