Editing a DVD for audio

I would like to know if there is a way to add an additional selectable audio stream to a DVD-R. I have the VOB files on my pc already.

I would think that any dvd authoring software would have that option, but I've never done any authoring, so I don't know for sure. I also think that when doing a backup, you'd have to omit the video and only get the audio, if you're talking about that type of editing.
