Ive read over and over how to do this, but everything program i try doesnt work. IOve tried Magic Iso and The DVD Decrypter. Ive got Vandal Hearts For The PS1 And i wanna Play it on my Pc Since my PSOne is busted. How do I convert MDF to ISo? Maybe a detailed tutorial would be cool? Nero doesnt support it, so thats out. Ive got Power Iso and Magic Iso.

i don't know why ur magic iso didn't work. i tried converting one of my mdf files to iso and it worked perfectly. Open up magic iso, open up the the mdf file in magic iso, then go to file->save as-> then save it as an iso

im trying Power Iso, burning the file to CD-R Then im Gonna Rip The Image With Clone CD. If it dont work ill try your post. Thanks Dawg. Im guessing what Power iso did, from what the burn screen says, is that it creates an image file, then burns it. We'll see what happens. ill let you know what happens.

Ok so I cant Save it Cuz the File is over 330mb. Cant Even burn the File Cuz its over 600mb. So what to do? I have magic iso Trial version. Ive Tried mounting it also and got nothing. Is there a Way to Convert it?

This file you just sent me, doesnt work with MDf, atleast i cant find the command line to open it.(.img,.bin) Doesnt show up anywhere

Ok, this is my info. I have the Game vandal Hearts For PSone. I couldnt get the sound to work when i uploaded the Iso onto my HD with Clone Cd. So i downloaded the Game. Ive got Alcohol 120 now, but i dont know how to use it. These Other Programs havent worked because there all in trial mode, except for the last file...^^Top^^ When i Downloaded the game i unzipped the folder with WinRAR, and got An MDF file and An MDS file.
Im being patient it might not seem so, im just trying to work this out little by little. Sorry If i seem Demanding.

well i have never used the ps1 emu,so i dont know much about it
why do you need to convert to iso?
if its so important,just use the program intended for those images,achohol 120 to burn it to disk,then re-create the image in read mode with something else that will create an iso,but iso is normally for dvd format.
you can always give cdgenps2 a try to create a image from scratch
(extract all the contents of the image with isobuster,then place them in cdgenps2 in the same order as they appear in isobuster,and create iso image from there),btw,dont get ps2cdgen mixed up with cddvdgen

-in addition though,if I may, you don't even need to burn the disc with Alcohol 120% to create an ISO, just mount the .mdf on the virtual drive in alcohol, minimise alcohol (so you don't get confused, all you are doing is using alcohols virtual drive to mount the image) and create the ISO from there using Magic ISO(File,Open CD/DVD Driver, Select the virtual drive). I've done it that way,though I have to say just burning the disc in alcohol saves mucking about and has always worked for me.
You could ,of course, just burn the mounted image with whatever burning software works for you.
All seems a lot of faffing though, Chanmans post pretty much covered it if you feel you simply MUST create an ISO, or alternatively just burn the thing with Alcohol, nice one step operation...
Keep things simple mate, things only get complicated when you make them complicated.

Thanks Alot You Guys For The Feedback. A friend of Mine had Alcohol 120 and Magic ISO and he converted it for me. If i remembered how he did it exactly i would spell it out for you. Thanks alot for the help. Its Appriciated.

duzmi see When i Mounted The File, Say you unzipped the file and you got an EXE And system file, thats what came up when i mounted it to the virtual drive. I guess all i had to do was unpack the EXE file and It came through with flying colors. Like i said before thatnks for the feed back it was of much help. Ill be sure to use it on further projects.

i just change the file extension from mdf to iso and that works perfectly
