I love the way my print's turn out on the ritek surface, is the standard hub printable +R's fron Ty comparable? I don't like the verb surface because the images are not near the Ritek in quality (although the disc quality is better) what a bind...

The Yudens I just got from supermedia now have a smoother surface so now your worries are ove great print quality on a smoother surface disc and you're getting the best discs that have the highest playback compatibility in the world.

What type were the ty's you ordered? I had read about poor quality print around the hub area of the disc, do the new one's still display this trait or did they fix it?...

pardon my ignorance, but are you actually printing directly to the disc? Or are you just using matte labels. If you are printing directly to the disc, what type of printer are you using?

If he is printing directly on the disc then he is probably using the Epson R200/R300 series printer.
I've printed on TY and Ridata white hub inkjets before. I like how the prints look on the Ridata because it looks sharper to me but in the end I prefer to use a better quality disc so I stick to my TY. I just recently bought a spindle of watershield and the printing looks amazing on it. I'll try to snap a pic when I get a chance.

in your opinion, does the Epson R200/300 printer series prints look comparable, and/or better than say a matte label print?

Depending on the disc you use, right now I don't think I have seen anything that can top these Taiyo Yuden watershield discs I bought.
