Tomb Raider Freezes

I've tried several ways of ripping the CD to my computer and the same thing happens, once I load the game and start new it freezes with a black screen. The CD doesn't have one scratch on it and even works on ePSXe directly. Is there any specific way to burn this game or something or am I doing something wrong?

most likely its a bad media cd
