Hey guy,
I usually like to go on cdrdvdrmedia.com for some taiyo yunden's but I was wondering where else you guys go?
Specifically, I'd like the Taiyo Yuden with silver thermal lacquer since I have no need to print and it is cheaper. Also, I dont mind using 8x. I could get as much as 100 pack but not anymore than that. Thanks.
I just wanted to added that I was looking at a previous spindle from cdrdvdrmedia.com and it has the TYG03 code which apparently means value line. Can anybody tell me something about this. It seems to be a downgraded version of a high quality dvd.

I have used the two stores mentioned above. Before I purchase
anything I always check out a site called techbargains.com. They
update their site twice a day. If there is a good sale on they
usually have it listed. They are also usually two to three days
ahead of the ads coming out in the Sunday paper. That way you
know if there is something good coming up.
Meritline and Supermedia store change their offerings frequently.
So something that is there one day may not be there the next.
The reverse can be true too-I purchased some TY printables for
$32 per 100 and the next day they were $22 per 100 for a couple
of hours only. So I ordered more.

was just about to order when I realized it was almost $9 to ship these, doesn't make it such a great deal. Does Meritline.com have any free shipping coupons. I can't use Google checkout $10 discount because I am already enrolled.
Thanks,

That's why I check out Techbargains.com. They quite often come up
with deals that have free shipping. Both Supermediastore and Merit-
line do this every so often. I even bought a big screen LCD TV with
free shipping. Just don't think huge shipping charges are a bargain.

I cant stand DVD-R, and the DVD+R link shows that they are out of stock. Not to mention 40 bucks shipped is pretty standard for 100.

Is silver shiny the same as silver thermal lacquer?

I still have no luck finding some Taiyo Yuden DVD+R 8x's for a good deal. A good deal with Taiyo Yuden usually means free shipping at the very minimum. This usually equates to no more than $40 for 100. This is what I'm looking for since in the past I was able to do so many times. Also, it's easy to get to that type of price with a combination of coupon codes and google checkout but even using these tactics, I cannot locate anywhere that is allowing the purchase of these for .40 per disc out the door w/shipping.

I don't think media codes denote whether or not Taiyo yuden disc are Valueline or premium - The Same type DVD+R or DVD-R Taiyo Yuden Will have the same media code For the same speed disc in both lines ! Premium & valueline ! taiyo yuden determines that themselves and sells and packages the disc accordingly ! Tape wrap for Valueline and cakeboxes For Premium ( I have seen Premium Taiyo yudens Offfered shrink/tape wrapped online) But premium taiyos generally come in cakeboxes! Suoermediastore.com & Meritline.com are good retailers I would trust & have purchased without problems from each ! But you can order from whoever you like I suppose Good luck !

Viper3- Assuming you are buying from a reputable reatiler/dealer ! then Taiyo Yudens are Taiyo Yudens ! Differing only in cosmetics ( label surface -shiny thermal , Inkjet white , inkjet silver ect..) and type DVD+R or DVD-R and Speeds - 4,8,16x ect... All taiyo yudens are japanese made if You run the disc through DVD identifier & it says they are made in China ( Hong kong , Philipines , Ping pong ) or anywhere but japan You goT rooked !if They are made in japan whether Valueline or Premium You got the real thang There hoss !
