Hey All,

Just wanted to know if someone can help.

Used dvdxcopy xpress to back up a movie. However the original got badly damaged during a move. I do have the back up though which I cannot back up anymore because xcopy express says it will not do because of some inbuilt stuff (that's what tech support told me also).

Any other way I can do the intended back up and keep enjoying my movie??

Sorry Guys!

I didn't know the question above was the very same one.

Still very green at this. I have just managed to buy a minidv camera, card with a firewire port and ulead software and am able to get a few things in.

Still not too much into editing video.
6min. video is becoming to 200MB. Thats why I got the dvd burner.

There are ways around the Xcopy back up preventions. However, as Herbsman says, I wouldnt use Xcopy unless you are pretty computer iliterate. Use DVD Shrink and Nero or somethig in the future. Nero might allow you to back up the Xcopy DVD?

All you need to do to backup a copy made with DVDXCopy or DVDXCopy Xpress, is copy the files to your hard drive (on the DVD, there will be a text file, the VIDEO_TS folder, and the AUDIO_TS folder). Then once they are copied to your hard drive, burn them with Nero using the DVD (ISO/UDF) setting. Works for me every time!
