I have a camera and I took some pictures and a few movies put the Sd card into the Wii and it played the files were AVI and I want to know if there is any way to play you own movies by converting them to AVI ? I tried my own AVI movies from my pc but it said wrong format , any help please ?

thank you very much man I appreciate it. other than buying a GC mem cand actually making an SD card reader and using AR for GC or using modchips , is there any other way to use homebrew or play emulators or roms other than buying them on the Wii online ?

whoa man you were right it does eat up a lot of memory as it takes up a lot of space when you convert to this format , I just took a 30 mb vid to test and it converted it to over 300 mb LOL

yeah tell me about it
i bought a 1gig card so i could convert my Anime's and what do you think? 1gig isnt enough so i cut the intro and th eoutro of a anime and still its didnt had enough space

I converted a 22 minute XviD of a Family Guy episode, and it came out to about 500MB! Untill a tool or codec is available with better compression, it isn't going to be very practical to play video on the Wii off the SD card.
