I preoedered my wiikey. Should I install it as soon as I get it or would you guys recommend waiting a week or two to make sure that they're functioning properly and not damaging anyone systems?

I would wait in case the next Wii system update ends up blocking you from future updates/shopping/online

i dont plan on connecting my wii to the internet should i still wait? is there a chance that the mod chip will damage my wii?

In that case I would just do it. Obviously it will void your warranty but i think the chances of a Wii breaking are slim.
