Whenever I play a DVD and various video files on my laptop, the audio is lagging a fraction of a second behind the video. It's a mid-range laptop with a 1.66 Ghz Core Duo, 1 GB RAM, and a 256 MB Nvidia card. I currently have Windows Vista Business installed on it. I have no codec packages installed aside from DivX. I am using VLC for most media playback. I didn't have this problem with XP.

Could this be a setting I need to change, or will I need to wait until my audio or video card is issued a driver update.
