On the cyclowiz chip can you wire a switch onto the "chip disable wire" and then just turn it off easily???

Could you do that and then just make sure you ONLY connect to the online service with the chip turned off? I like to download the VC games and I like having a games console that is being updated all the time with the updates/software downloads.

my cyclowiz has an on/off switch (for programming mode) though, the wii is connected all the time, i don't know if you can just tell it when to be onine, unless you have a usb adapter i guess. though i've downloaded several VC games and used the Opera browser since i installed the chip and i haven't had any trouble. the cyclowiz is invisible unless it's loading a disc. the wii shouldn't be able to detect it at all. but what do i know.
