being a recent noob myself, and having to spend hours looking at hundreds of posts to get information i found a bit confusing and frustrating
therefore i have gone thru the some of the PS2 boards here at AfterDawn
and have put alot of the Guides / Tutorials into 1 guide or e-book (since its over 130 pages long).
i have uploaded 2 versions 1 PDF and one DOC (word 97-2003)
all credits go to the original authors.
the only things i'd like to see come of this would be.
1. this be made a sticky cos this compilation of guides would be VERY VERY handy for noob and save alot of frustration looking everywhere.
I think that if updated this book would be an essential part of everyone collection (i hope)

Yeah True enough, but you have done a GREAT JOB compiling it all together now I won't have to scroll around web waiting to load I got all of it in my PC.It's got all that i had bookmarked/saved and more!

thanks, i spent quite a few hours looking everywhere for these tutorials, theres about 20 i think, i m sure i may have missed a few here or there.
ended up staying up to midnight putting it all down, only go get up 4 work at 5am the next day lol.
i would like to see this book expanded.
i think because there is soo many programs named in that book, i'll go round looking for all the relevant programs and more, and put them in 1 place aswell, perhaps in a rapidshare folder so ppl can download each individually or all together.
anyway off to work, i hope this helps ppl

just a note, i m going to have some spare time this weekeend, so if i have missed any tutorials, or ppl have some tutorials they would like to be included in the compilation of guides. please send me a pm. and i'll give u my email address so u can email them to me for me to include over the weekend.

its a pretty good idea if you are starting out in d big bad world of online gaming.
+d guy with d pic of d stupid bastard of a frosties asshole
(dnt ak me i dnt no wat it means^^)

Are you referring to the files I have on rapidshare. They are free downloads. I have quite a lot of files there, so would rather have them there.
If you have a download accelerator like DAP you can get all my stuff from my folder or should be able to. Just right click the file and save as DAP.
Let me know if you have an issue and I will put it on my site then.

Actually I meant about the whole deal of one file per an amount of time on rapidshare, So to download everything there I'd have to wait a lot, I prefer if someone put them (at least temporary) on a normal HTTP and I'll put them online on my site...

I have no clue if your still updating this guide or not, but I just thought that you should add this anyway.
Tape and tissue mod for PS2 and Swap Magic
keep in mind, This isn't my guide, but I did find it somewhere around these forums. This guide should help those people who don't want to buy a mod chip and is willing to tinker with their slimline PS2 a little bit in order to boot up back ups. you still need to buy swap magic though.

You will need to have your ps2 modded, or by using Swap Magic, then using uLaunch you can access your usb flash drive.
Another way is if you have Ar Max with the media player.

Have you formatted your usb drive with FAT32? If so and it still doesn't recognize it, then it may not be compatible.

I've downloaded a torrent of fifa 08 pal ps2 then I writed it with alcohol 120% it worked for a week now its not working !?
So I'm downloading again but another torrent it's link is below.

First before your account gets frozen, you should read the Forum Rules.
Pay attention to #5
To edit your post, click the top right icon and edit your links out.
What type of disks do you burn FIFA 08 too and at what speed.
Could just be the quality or the burn
I personally don't like using Alcohol for PS2 DVD,for CD or PS1 games its ok.
Should just stick with Imgburn for PS2 DVD and burn at 4x speed.
Anyway for the second one thats already rebuilt should work fine with your modchip.
So no, you don't need to anything but just burn it to DVD.
The reason some rebuild them is so they will work with Swap Magic. Swap Magic has issues with some backups that are 4.37GB in size or thereabouts, so they rebuild it so the TOC is smaller.
