Hello Room,

i have been capturing video straight from sat. for a while, but wanted to know what is the best program to use and compression methode DivX or XviD to use for good quality and low space.

i have a lead tec card PCI, and i have been using Virtual VCR to do my captures, but after 8 hours of capture the video and audio is off...

i have a dual core AMD 4400 toledo core, which is over clocked to 2.8... water cooled system and 2 gigs of ram, and decent hard drives..

so i think i have decent hardware to capture and compress live..

what are the options out there now? the leadtek OEM software sucks, so i want a better solution for audio and video to synch up... that is my only problem now..

i have my virtual VCR set to 640 by 480 and currently use divxpro 2 cpu setting @ 1200 Kbpersecond settings MP3 128kps for audio..

but the sound is off like i said..

anybody else have a better more effeceint setting or program to use for high quality video size of 640 by 480 and decent audio 128 mp3 codec, that is low usage on the hardware and puts out a good sync. on the audio and video after 8 hours?

anyways thanks for sharing your solutions..
