I am having problems with Nero 7.7.5.1 in Vista 64. It installed fine... worked fine a few times to burn AVI to DVD but then all of a sudden it worked sometimes and didn't work others. now it doesn't work at all.
When I try to burn an AVI file it hangs on the Preparing xyz.avi for Transcoding screen. It will sit on that screen for hours and do nothing other than let the clock keep ticking.

Does anyone have any ideas. I would have thought it was Vista 64 but it worked fine multiple times before. I haven't installed any programs that would interfere with it to my knowledge.

I have seen enough failed burns using this version of 7.7.5.1 to make me recommend the following. Uninstall, run this clean tool,

http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and revert to 7.5.9.0 (which is suitable for Vista) from here
