Hope someone can help with this one. I have downloaded a movie and it has come through as one ISO file 4.5G in size. How can I transfer this to dvd?

I may be way off the mark here but can I burn this to a dvd using Nero and dropping this file into the video ts folder?

I also have a program called Sonic DVD, that came with the Dell machine, could this be used.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try ImageBurn found here:

http://www.imgburn.com/

You said it was 4.5G which should fit on single layer dvd. If not open the file with DVD Shrink (found in the AfterDawn Software section) and compress to fit onto single layer dvd.

Thanks.

When using DVDshrink it seems to create loads of files which when burning to DVD using Nero I copy to the Video TS file. Would the same apply with this one large file? Ie copy this one to the Video TS and it should burn OK?

No, you cannot put an .iso file into a VIDEO_TS folder and burn with Nero.

Check out this site for some useful guides:

http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/Guides.htm

Since it is 4.5G, you might be able to just open the iso file with ImageBurn and go from there..

But if it needs further compressing. Use "Open Files" with Shrink and be sure to save as "Image File". Then use resulting compressed file to burn with Image Burn.

Read up on using Shrink and ImageBurn in the above listed guides. They will be extremely helpful...

Hi,

You can also burn the iso with Nero.

True. To me, if you like .iso burning, the seamless operation is Shrink and ImageBurn especially with the revised Shrink program that integrates the two. Found here:

http://www.digital-digest.com/software/d...23&ssid=0&did=7

With the above version of Shrink, it will rip and compress a movie into an .iso file and automatically switch over to ImageBurn for the burning....

Dead right!! I opened Nero and cancelled the box that appears. Then went to recorder and burn image. Added the file and Bob's your uncle. Burned to the DVD complete with chapters extras etc.

Just the job.
