HELP!!! both of my dvd freeze everytime i watch dvd.

hi guys i have two dvd 1 writer and 1 combo both of them freeze everytime i play a dvd but when i try to play a save dvd movie it works great cant find any problems anyone has an idea? would it be a software i installed that affect my player? help pls.
