Gamecube Import Swap Problem

I have followed the swap method to get an GC import to run on the PAL Wii. However I only have animal crossing. It boots up, the nintendo logo appears but then the screen just goes blank. The noise plays out and I can hear myself pressing through the menu. Why no picture? My TV auto supports NTSC, but when the game boots the TV says its still in PAL. Could this be the problem and is there any way of switching the TV to NTSC. I have a Miria 32" HD LCD.

I have the same problem but my consle is NTSC and it is super smash brothers melee. i have burnt it on many different types of discs but all get the same thing black screen but can hear myself playing the game even fighting some one. i am trying a diffrent torrent since i dont have anyway of making backups games yet.
if someone know something about this please help us:D
