Good Day,

I tried to backup the movie A Good Year yesterday & the outcome was bizarre. Some scenes were replaced by "The Making of" of that scene.
Is that a new protection that came out? And how do I bypass it ?

I Used: CloneDVD2 & AnyDVD (The Latest versions)

Regards,
Dan

omg........ the first scenes show director scenes and such as DigitalSK mentioned! I never had this done before using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2.
Unless this is supposed to be part of the movie?! weird!

With new movies, specially from sony and disney, i would only trust Ripit4me. just yesterday, i backed up "Stranger than fiction". this is a movie that was giving problems to anydvd/clonedvd2 and even to fabdecrypter. Ripit4me did this movie for me without having to be updated. i ran the files thru fixvts and the files came out nice and clean, shrink was able to handle them without a problem.

PS: In Ripit4me i trust.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

This one has nothing special copy protection wise. But it does have another title that's longer & bigger than the movie which can fool programs into thinking it is the main movie.

The other title is actually a special feature - Postcards from Provence.

Uncheck title 2 in Clone and you're fine.

Here's a link on another thread with this:

binky is right. This is what happened....

First you used CloneDVD to burn the main movie only, Right? So the first thing that Clone does is look for the main movie title. It identifies the main movie title by choosing the largest title.

On this particular movie the largest title is title 2, so that's what it latched on to. It probably looked correct for the first minute or so it played. This makes you think that just some of the scenes were replaced.

In reality the first part of title 1 and the first part of title 2 share the same video. After that they are different with no common scenes.

The next time you burn it, just make sure you have the smaller title 1 selected.

The reason I know all this is because I did the same damn thing!!

lol - if it wasn't for the heads up from N2DVD that something was different on this dvd I might have done the same thing :)
