Does anyone know how to convert GBA .sps files(downloaded from Gamefaqs.com) into .dat files that can be used with an M3?

I won't post a full step-by-step but I remember I used to load the ROM of the game in VisualBoy Advance, and then save ingame to create a .sav file, which you can then convert into a .dat using the M3 gamemanager (double click on the game to open save manager and use write.sav)

This was a few months ago, so there might be a better way of doing this now.
