Tried two different version of Nero 7 on son's computer. Have used Nero clean after uninstalling and reinstalling. Installs seem to go fine but after clicking on Nero Smart start and selecting a function such as make a data dvd nothing what so ever happens and when I go into task manager get Nero not responding and whole computer is locked and have to power down and then computer works fine for other function but not Nero, computer is an 1800 running xp with 256 mb ram. Is this the reason.

It is recommended to have a minimum of 512mb of RAM to successfully burn DVDs....also which version of Nero 7 are you using...some of them are "real dogs"

first used Nero 7 essentials that came with new dvd burner and lastly Nero 7.7.5.1both had nothing occur after clicking make data dvd.
