Just wondering if there is a Wii shortage going on or do i just have bad luck? i have been looking around all the local stores around here and its a no go. The all say they dont know when to expect more in and one store said something about a shortage. my phone kept breaking up so didnt get a complete explanation. Just wondering if anyone here knows if there is something going on or is it just my local area that is out. or if anyone knows when i could expect to see them back in stores?

I live in West Virginia and just bought one on Sunday evening at the local Toys R Us. They had a special going for $270 they included Ice Age 2 (which they were out of). My daughter chose Happy Feet instead. I know there was a big ad in the paper for there and Target. Target sold out that morning. I haven't got to really check it out yet, but the system seems pretty interesting.

Just drop by your local game stores and walmarts on a very regular basis, especially mid morning, Wed. Thu. as that's when most get their shipments and you will get lucky.

If you don't mind buying it online, then there are some sites where you can do it. Just recently, I happened to come across a review site that has a list of merchants selling Wii online. Maybe, you might want to take a look at them. The link is on the signature. Good luck and hope it helps.

I got mine off ebay when they first came out and you couldn't get one for love or money, only paid $300AUD for it inc. shipping as well :) (what is that like $250 US?). Or any of the major online retailers that list their stock levels are a good bet. And you don't even have to get off your lazy ass!

call ALL your local targets/best buys/walmart etc. ASAP and check with them A DAY before fathers day. i can almost guarentee there will be some in stock by then. i called in 2 days before memorial day, they told me they didn't know when the wiis were going to be in stock but the next day i called again, and just as i thought... they were in stock just for memorial day. so remember, give them a call around fathers day! gl

Its weird that they are so easy to buy in China (just walk in a video game store and ask for one), when they technically arent even legal here.

I was in a best buy a few weeks ago and asked if they had any. They had 2. I was there at the right time. So just keep asking around. Also there are some wii trackers for online purchases. Google wii tracker.

Whats not legal here... Wiis ? or Mod Chips ?
They are legal its just the programs it takes to run them make them illegal or people just download iso's offline and its piracy.

Illegal in the sense that China doesnt allow Sony or Nintendo to sell their consoles here. Not illegal to have, illegal to sell, if I understand it correctly.
