if you want to do this you have just to put a original psx game in your ps2 and go in the navigator (where you go for your memory card)after 5 seconds a cd icon will apear and after just use the knife trick to swap your original cd for a backcup and press X, it should read it correctly

Yes i tried it whit my very old gran turismo 1 cd and it works great.

uummm i don't know what is an import game: is it a PAL games on a NTSC ps2 or a NTSC game on a PAL ps2?? if it's this i'm sorry but i did not try it

I tried to use this method to run DDR Konamix but the screen just went black and froze.

I didnt use the knife trick. I use a swap magic with a flip top.

No, I was just saying how I was using the flip top to swap. I never used the acual swap magic program.
