Yes, anything you do that flashes your psp can brick it: Downgradeing, Installing Dark Alex?s 3.10OE firmware, anything you do that edits the psp?s internal flash memory runs the risk of permanently damaging and ruining your psp. psp broke help: If problem is hardware, Buy new PSP. If PSP is bricked because you tried to change your themes to make pretty colors, buy new PSP. If you can still get to recovery in your PSP (hold R while booting assuming you have custom firmware) recover said PSP.
