hey guys!

i got a question for ppl that might know this, i got my Wii chipet just recently with the Wiikey and instead of burning the games onto the disk, is it possible if i could use an external Hard drive to backup the wii games on it and run it on the wii, like from an SD card but instead i use a HD. If its possible that would save me time and i would like to know how to do it.

I havent heard of anything like this and I dont think its been done (yet).

I know the ps2 had a hard drive loader (HDL) and I know from personal experience that while it works fairly well its not perfect. Mod chips had better compatability with most games.

im not sure which site i saw it, the guy was talking about the wiikey thats its HD compadiable, he said something about there is 3 ways u can back-up ur games, 1.SD cards if u can get it big enough, 2.Hd back-ups and 3.DVD back-ups. if i find the site again ill link to u guys so u can have a look.

sd is for something like homebrew probably, since regular SD cards do not exceed 4 megs yet, SDHC does, but the wii I do not think reads SDHC (different format). The image files for wii games exceed 4 gigs. So I dont really think thats possible. Now for the external hd, I do not believe that anything reads the usb slot yet.
