Hi
I just want to say this forum has been very useful to me and i really appreciate you guys keeping it going.

My problem is this, although i am not sure if it is a problem.

I have a backup of a movie, this consists of VOB and IFO files i burn the disk in nero 6. it plays back fine if the disk size is over 3.95 gb but not if it is smaller.

i try to add another directory called for example filler and put some fat files in it to bulk up the disk. the player will not read it. is it permissible to add raw VOB files from another disk to this disk. no linking no purpose other than to fill up space. Nero warns of DVD-Video compliancy failure when doing this. Any advice or tips on the best course of action to assure compliancy across set top players and DVD-ROM drives. please help

I think you need to address the issue that is causing this. Nero 6! It should burn a DVD no matter what size it is. in fact i have burnt DVD Video that is around 2GB without a problem. Try the free trial of Record Now Deluxe and i think it will work. You can get it from the user guide section of my signature.

Sorry if i mispoke. Nero burns it but complains. the set top player i use does not read the disc under 3.95 gb
