ps2 CD-ROM title problems, suggestions?

Hey all, great forum.

I'm having some problems backing up some .ISO's I have of PS2 titles on CD. I've been backing up titles for a long time and have never had any problems with the DVD titles - but I can never seem to get any cd titles to work.

I have a hardware modded PS2 - sorry I don't know what chip is in it. I have 100% success rate burning DVD based titles.

Specifically I have ICO, Mr. Mosquito, and Way of the Samurai - I've tried several different brands of CD-R's, as well as Nero, Alcohol 120, DVDDecriptor.. all to no avail. The disc will always show as either "No Disc" or "Non-Format" after my PS2 boots up.

I've even had DVDDecriptor force the .ISO onto a DVD instead of a CD-R and still no luck..... I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing this?

Any suggestions anyone?

Your laser part that reads CD is probably getting bad. You cant make a CD based game burn on a DVD without problems, you will need to convert it using a few programs.
