I have a very similar problem.

OK, so I have a PAL wii. I use freeloader (wii edition) to play NTSC games, and they work perfectly.

I then installed a wiiKey, and installed the 'setup disc' (from the wiikey website), so I could supposedly play region free games.

Anyhoo, I put in my REAL NTSC Gamecube game (NOT a backup), and the screen for Res Evil 4 is squished, the colours for Metroid Prime are inverted & fucked, and Killer 7 doesn't work at ALL...

WTF? How can my freeloader work better than the wiiKey?

I'm really worried becasue I haven't even tried any wii/GCN backups yet...

Does it have anything to do with my TV's NTSC compatibility? (but then why do the games work fine with freeloader?) Is this a common wiiKey fault? I just bought a fuckload of gamecube backups online and am afraid that they're all NTSC and not PAL!
