I am planning to buy a Tv and cant make up my mind.
Because of the Cricket worldcup a lot of Brands have slashed their prices.
What to buy????
Brands are
Panasonic
LG
JVC
Samsung

Could you please rate these brands and please tell me if a 32'' LCD is better or 42'' Plasma.
I am planning to use this as both a monitor and a TV.
Thanks

A friend, who's not too technical, got a Zenith with a free surround system. She gave it to me. Not much of an offer. The system will not connect with audio to TV. There are no audio in/out connections. Just not much of a system. It's in the closet now.

What kind of price difference should i be looking at in a 42'' Plasma that dosent have PC input.

The Panasonic guys are offering $1920 for the 42'' Plasma with Home theater system that does infact connect to the Plasma directly.

The samsung ppl are giving the same offer without the home theatere system. But their 42'' plasma has pc input.

Now as far as samsung are concerned. I have $2000 and I am not too concerned in the freebies that they are giving.

What should i do. Buy a Plasma 42'' for this price or go for a samsung 37'' LCD with all options for the same price.

Look to circuit city for the Samsung 40" LCD I got mine two weeks ago for $1399. Has pc connection and super picture and set is stylish to boot. Polished piano black, sleek.
