hi my head is a bit baffled over this mac and windows stuff. i dont like the new windows vista OS but i like mac OS X 10 tiger so anyway stright to the point can i instll a mac OS on any Computer.

here is the spec of my laptop its a Toshiba equium psm77.

itel pentuim m 1.70 ghz
graphics intel 915gm
dvd ram drive dual layer
ram 1 gig
hdd 40 gigs

i got told it was an 86x base laptop

so will i be able to install mac on this laptop.
i know you can run mac in windows xp but i dont want to do that i want the it as my os.

no you can't because the thing about mac is you can install windows on a mac machine using boot camp start up disk. but a os x does not work on the windows machine sorry

I think he can run OSX86 on his computer. I'm not sure whether or not he can choose between two OSes like bootcamp or parallel. Correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks guy but i have alredy done it i went to see a computer guy that i know and he sorted it out. i am going to fing out how he did it so i can put it on the site for everyone else.

It's possible using emulation, but not really worth the effort because of the performance hit you take..

he wont tell me but i think he has maybe change some hardwhere because i am now using diffrend driver. i think i have been riped off.

Seems like the guy who helped you to install OSX doesn't want to tell us. So, should I open a new topic and ask forumers how to install that? If you all agreed, then I'll do what I've promised.
