It may be a good chip, but this is the 3rd version of the wiinija in a month... makes me wonder how many more are gonna come out.
It really seems the WiiKEY is the more popular one in the modding scene.

i know. the reasons why i want it because it can be upgradeable, maybe because the first 2 modchip was not upgradeable. Also it had a feature that give no dre. The wiikey is great but it gives dre for some gamecube games. I'm not sure about the wiinja giving any of that problems, but lately there's hadn't been any reports of problems with wiinja modchip.

They might have 3 versions but that proves to me there improving there code. and now that they make a upgradeable one its not a issue anymore. just my 2cents.

I guess your right, I am just really wondering how many more times they will release a new chip. It just seems ashame all those people that went and bought a Wiininja then a v2 and now maybe a deluxe..
Hopefully this is the last of the updates.
Yes it is good to see they are updating, its just upsetting to see a team profiting off the same people a number of times within 1 months time.

from what i heard, wiinja had some sorts of problems. Then came v2 to fixed it. When the wiikey came out with the upgrade, also region free, wiinja taught if they don't make a chip with upgradeable, they might lose. So yes this could be a chance this chip could be the last, other than that, possibly the next released could be a chip with bigger memory.

They have an upgrade program where you can return your wiinja v2 for an upgrade to wiinja deluxe. So they aren't necessary fleecing people by releasing another version of the chip.
Correction, the upgrade program was from Wiinja V1 to Wiinja V2. The deluxe uses a different chip and so they don't do upgrades to that. V2 is a very good chip though, just not upgradeable like the deluxe.

The wiinja deluxe is great. No dre. The modchip let's you play wii and gamecube games with no dre. Unlike the wiikey that still having problem with some gamecube game (dre) because of the audiofix. That why i decided to get the wiinja deluxe over the wiikey, good thing i did, just as i predicted no dre for gamecube or wii whatsoever.

I guess only time will tell which Wii Modchip will prevail... I am sure there will be many more with many more features.
Perhaps soon a real modchip, and not just a drive chip. Who knows...

actually both wiikey and wiinja deluxe can be upgraded. So soon there will be more feature. I heard wiinja deluxe is working on DivX player for the chip from one of the forum, but it still a rumor. A drive chip is better in my opinion because this way playing live will be undetected.

Its sorta too early to tell if live play will be undetected... There will always be away for a console manufacturer to detect if their system is modded.. if its a drive chip a real modchips or a softmod. There is no way to know for sure they will never detect it.
The way their lawyers and the ESA is going after wii installers atm, its only a matter of time before they figure out how to detect this. Then there will be a new chip out and so on.
Thats how things usually go.

I dont really see the point of doing that there is already a media player for the gamecube that plays DivX files and works on the wii

If anyone knows can you please tell me if it will be possible to play on the internet with backups? or will it require some kind of tampering with the image like the ps2 backups? Thanks.
