The God Of War 2 Hit Count Challenge

Wanted to see how high of a hit count i could get and managed to do allot higher then Sony expected, about twice their expectations, they quit giving a bonus at 2000 and that ranks as an 'Impossible' with a 500 red orb bonus, i made it to 3591 and didn't get any further bonus's.
anyone else got higher??

the extreme hit counts have to be done on an enemy that doesn't die till you hit circle and then do the mini game. in other parts of the game I've gotten over 1000 hits off a regular swarm of enemies, if you can only get 10 you need to practice up on the button combos rather then just using box and triangle :) on average when there are a fair size group of enemies i get 300-400 hits. i'm also playing in Titan mode where it takes allot more hits to kill anything and you have allot more of them attacking you at the time.

Did you send that to Sony? I bet they would be shocked. And also doubt you. I don't own the game, but heard it was great.

difficulty level is irrelevant, a friend plays on the easiest difficulty level available and i did a 5000 hit on it trying to teach her how to do combos.

I got over 7100 hits but I only took the picture at 6900, screwed it up though and not going to try again for a while. When I figure out how to get the picture sized right so I dont get in trouble with the mods I'll post it.

all the combos are shown in the pause menu, use the R1 L1 buttons to scroll through those menus.

Are you guys using cheats for infinite magic or something? Because i know in God of War 1 there was a place around the start where there were Minotaurs respawns and you could make an endless hit chain with cheats.

But this game kind of spooks me lol whats gets u going to start playing it?
Ps. have u finshed it? im on the part were i just freed the pegases from that guys palm.

I've played GoW through many hundred times and I've played GOW2 through at least 10 times now. GOW2 didn't hold my interest as long as GoW did, i played it often for a few yrs, i stopped playing GOW2 in less then a week, it's not challenging to me, i walked through it with absolutely no problems and none of the 'puzzles' required any thinking, i was disappointed in that is why i did the hit count thing to make it more fun.

I have to agree, the puzzles in God of War 1 were a lot better then God of War 2 IMO. The pandoras temple was kind of hard if you never really bothered playing action/adventure games which requires solving puzzles.
Either way the God of War series so far is awesome, i enjoy them a lot more then Prince of Persia.

the first time i played through it took 10 hours with me looking for everything that might be hidden here and there, that wasts allot of time. i can do Titan mode now in 8 hours.

i see u have infinite Rage of Cronos,play in Titan mode while using HOLD[] skills and also 3sec combo ability huh,i almost get it,but only 9856hits only,that was really cool man,i didnt know it can exceed 10000.

rather then double posting (which is not only aggravating, it's against forum rules) add your comment to the 'quote', I've noticed you've done that on every topic you've posted to with a quote, it's not necessary.
FWIW i never use 'Rage Of Titans', it's not necessary and to me it's harder to tell what Kratos is doing when he's engulfed in the flames so i find i can screw up easier with it. finger fatigue is the only issue with the 10 thousand hits, I'd get a million if it wasn't so time consuming and hard on the fingers.

EDIT: if you look at the first pic you can see the rage meter is only at 1/2 so it's not infinite and it's being filled not emptied and the 2nd pic no meter because i don't use ROT
EDIT 2: i found it difficult to continue to keep doing the button work and take the pic at the same time, didn't have anyone to take it this time for me so i screwed up and lost the first 15 thousand, they went back to 0 before i got the shot, so the second time it was a bit blury.......
