TMPGEnc trouble. Who can help me???

I have been working with TMPGEnc 2.5-something for quite some time, always without problems.
After a crash last week I had to format my harddisk. After days of re-installing my software and backups I found that TMPGEnc doesn't work that well anymore.

I have two problems. Hopefully someone has a solution:

1. TMPGEnc doesn't recognize MPG2-files with 29 fps (NTSC), while it has no problem recognizing MPG2-files with 25 fps (PAL).

2. TMPGEnc does convert .MOV to .MPG (with the QT plugin), but the resulting .MPG-file has no audio at all.

Could this last problem be a result of re-installing Quicktime? I heard that the new version 6.3 of QT causes trouble with .MOV-processing in TMPGEnc.

Please help!!

You haven't even stated what it is your trying to do w/ TMPGEnc...convert .AVI to .mpeg2 or even .VOB ????????????

If you just want to know why TMPGEnc isnt working for you , I'd suggest e-mailing Pegasys.

Hi Herbsman,

Thanks for your reply. I posted another question on this forum, regarding DVD2AVI and Ink_sling suggested I download Nimo's Codecs. I did and it didn't only solve my DVD2AVI problem, but also this TMPGEnc problem.

I'm happy again :-)
