Hi Guys,


Basically i've just burnt to movies, one on pinnacle and one on vista movie maker?

Im using Imation DVD+R 4.7GB RW Discs but they don't play on all DVD players etc?

Anyway i can make them play on all players as i have another Imation DVD+R 4.7GB RW that plays on all players that my mate done?

Imation uses different manufacturers so that may be part of the problem.
The manufacturer of the RW discs may be more compatible than the manufacturer of the +R discs.

If your burner supports it booktype the +R discs to dvd-rom to try and increase compatibility.

Take the burn speed done a notch or 2 and see if that helps. Players can be picky.

Also check and make sure your burners firmware is up to date.

Use better media too like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

try using the DVD dash R format instead of the DVD plus R if you can't booktype the DVD-ROM

and burn NO faster than 8x

Ok thanks guys,

I've just burnt it to a DVD+RW which worked on all the players!

Anyone know a good website?

Or the best DVD's for me to use?

Taiyo Yuden would be the best and then Verbatim imho & experience.

If you're in the US you can get genuine Taiyo at supermediastore.
Or in the UK at svp.
