It seems like its a pernament brick if you have to do that to turn it off. Try turning your brightness up, i heard you have to do that with certain downgraders.

Well if nothing comes up on the screen, and turning up your brightness solves nothing, then its pernamently bricked.
No need to really hope you didn't, like the README says, you accept the risk if your PSP bricks, so theres really nothing you can do about it besides getting it exchanged.
And did you try to downgrade it?

Well how did you brick it with the custom firmware? Did it install sucessfully or does it not turn on right, after you installed 3.03 OE-C? Because if it doesn't turn on after installing 3.03 OE-C, then yes it is bricked, and your only option is to make a motherboard replacment or buy a modchip. No shop that i know of does this stuff for people, so you'll have to do it yourself, or someone who's done it before and know what they are doing.

Seems strange though it sounds like its bricked. Did you try turning your brightness up? Solve anything? Thats the only other thing i can think of, and can you still go into recovery mode? By holding R when you turn it on? Because you can install the 1.50 Recovery through the recovery menu, and that will fix it.

Go in to USB mode and download the 1.50 Recovery wininstaller.
Which is in the thread PSP mod and firmware discussion at the top.
