Sorry if this is a bit paranoid, but i have a second-hand DS lite and was wondering if the touch screen is supposed to have a flexible plastic layer on it. If you look on an angle and press the touch screen it bends under the pressure slightly. Also, is a screen protector really necessary? Will the screen get scratched to shit by the stylus without one?

i think there's something wrong with your DS Lite. just return it to Nintendo. if u have DS Lite white, the dead line probably around July. so just return it, and they'll replaced it with either new one or refubrished. Also your warranty will be Updated. The protector screen, i think you'll really need it. cause some games that use touched screen, can scracthes ur screen like HEll.
