M3 Perfect Lite/Final Fantasy III

I've been playing FFIII lately and notice that during the overworld map I sometimes see some slight slow down around bodies of water. Nothing major and barely noticeable. Everything else is fine.


Could anyone let me know if this is normal in the actual retail version and if not any tips on how I should be converting the roms.
