I was wondering if anyone else encountered this problem. I had the mod professionally done and was wondering if this is an easy fix and a case of something inside being unplugged. The modchip works perfect and boots everything, it's just the fan that is not running.

i have the same problem. modchip works fine but the fan isnt running.

good thing i have one of those wii cooling fans though.

but i'd like to have the fan inside the wii running too.

anybody know what went wrong and how to fix it?

Mine works fine. It doesnt produce alot of air so make sure you look in it with a flashlight or something and make sure its spinning. If its not and the chip is working. He must have splashed solder on something he probally shouldnt have. I would add another fan or something b/c without the fan. You could burn something major and then you'd be screwed.

haha okay. so i checked again (for the third time, this time WITH a flashlight) and it actually IS spinning!

i got paranoid after reading this thread, checked my fan after the install and it SEEMED like it wasnt spinning. turns out it's just SUPER quiet and doesnt really bring out a lot of air.

so yeah, all is fine. apologies for the false alarm!
