i have a ps2 (yup got it fixed) and i know how to play burned games on it. but i want to play burned psx games on my PSX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT PS2. now im short on cd-r's and i dont want to get more right now so i want it done right the first time. how do i play burned games on my psx.
also if possible what would i have to do (plz non chip) to play ps2 CD not DVD games on it cause i want to eliminate bringin ps2 everywhere
my vice city freezes alot.

To play psx games all you gotta do is block the 3 sensors of your ps2.insert a psx ORIGINAL Game.when the black screen appears before the ps1 logo,insert your backup.THEN IT WILL LOAD

^^^ wrong! that isn't the swap point.. The disc toc hasn't loaded by that point, and the disk is still spinning fast. Attempting to open the tray will destroy your original disk for sure. You are assuming he is talking about a slimline, we have no idea what type of ps2 he has.
The question was about getting a chip for a ps1 or a bootdisk for the same, and has nothing to do with playing ps1 backups on a ps2 which he can do just fine.
Please don't post wrong and/or dangerous info without reading the full question first.

This guy obviously doesn't know my track record with the last gen consoles does he...
Bet he has a slimline and doesn't care about the laser or the spindle motor... Or for that matter his eyes.

I have been involved in 5 big wars today.. getting a bit bored with it TBH ^00^
Saturday it all started, over some software, and some firmware flashing moron.. then blu-bollox... now this moron..
I was trying to think of a nice way to tell the OP you can't play ps2 cd games on a ps1.. but what's the point.. Hopefully John and my friends on the end of the link can help answer any and all questions he has.
I don't think AD is a very nice place for the genuine and keen n00b these days. The kind who want to learn and contribute something..
Must be the school holidays again *sigh* when the mouthy retards get let out of the cages and unleashed on the world.
