I downloaded WMP11 but found I didn't like it and it caused a few problems so I rolled back to WMP10. This caused .wmv/.mpeg playback problems on all players including WMP10. Hopefully this is now solved as I was advised to switch 'Video/DVD Mixing Renderer' off in WMP10 which I have done.
I have a Tevion DVB-T 100 PCI TV card and when I try to play recordings from this on WMP10 it plays in slow motion with no sound. It then locks up and when I restart the computer the 'DDE Server Window' Windows pop up appears and I have to click 'End now' before it will restart.
I had this problem months ago even before I downloaded WMP11 and I seem to recall that someone on this forum (or another forum - I can't be sure) advised me to download a codec pack from a link that he supplied to enable me to watch Tevion TV recordings in WMP10. It worked perfectly and I had no further trouble until I downloaded and installed WMP11 a few weeks ago.
Could anyone please suggest advice or a link to what is the exact codecs that I need? I have downloaded K Lite codec Pack but this didn't help.
