Hi!
I've recently had my wii modded (by a pro) and the chip of choice is Wiinja. Now, i've downloaded a game (P2P) and i dont know how to proceed. I've tried the usual way, with Nero, and i tried follow some of the guides here, without any results.
1. Starting Nero and Loading the ISO file
2. Select my DVD-RW (USB Phillips, if that matters?)
3. Speed 4X and then Start.
4. When done, inserted into WII and nothing happens.
What am I missing here?
Cheers!

jgarces07:The shoulder buttons on my DS (not Lite) are not working. Any advice?
nintenut:This is going to sound a bit odd, but it works, put your lips around the trigger and blow really hard, it works.
bee_cup: My DS Lite L button don't work...
nintenut: Put your mouth on it and blow, gets the dust out, and sounds obscene!

Im pissed, how the hell do you burn downloaded Wii games, without getting "UNRECOGNISED DISC" message from the wii system. How hard can it be to do this? Please let me know ASAP, as i am going crazy!!!!!!!

you can try imgburn to burn your game. Try to burned at lowest speed as possible and don't used cheap media, used tdk, verbatim, or ridata. Tried to get the 8x media rathered than 16x. If you're using DVD+R, you have to booktype it to dvd-rom, i think that what the owner were talking about. Really now? did he said anything about what wiinja modchip is it? is sucked if he gave you a v1. what media you're using by the way?

Thanks for the answers.
The guy in the store didn't proof that it worked and really don't have to, cause its a reliable store.
I use a USB Philip DVD burner, and when I try to change the booktype through ImgBurn it says that I have to use DVD+RW media. And the brand of the dvd writer isnt available on any tabs In booktype options (ImgBurner).
It is a Wiinja V.2 chip. How do i load the game in the console later on? Do I have to do/change something to make it work?
Cheers

i think the guy that installed it, might have missed some solder. Go back to him and tell him. He could help you out. And the imgburn can burn DVD+R into dvd-rom, don't need no DVD+RW. The modchip should direct boot. The wiinja v2 can't updated, only wiinja deluxe can.

Hi,
Im having the same problems. I got zelda downloaded. Im using a wiinja v2 chip. and using dual layer verbatimins (as zelda is over 4.7gb) and burning at 2.4x
Im still getting the unrecognised disk message... I have one expensive coaster now!
Do you think this could also be a soldering problem?
Let me know your thoughts.
Im using Nero, and changing the file name to a .iso so Nero can read it. Originally downloaded its has this at the end '.wii <->'
Thanks
Thanks,

I found my problem. If you go on the wiinja site. Check out the circuit diagram. The connection I missed was number 3. It links to the other part of the wii console which i never got soldered. I also had a loose connection with one of the other solderings.
I should be getting this sorted on saturday. Ill let you know of the outcome, but my advice is to take your wii apart and check all connections.
You can get the special screw driver from ebay.
I was getting the same error messgae with the backups, yet all originals still worked.
You might find all your compied games now work once the soldering is done.
Thanks,

That's funny, I was able to backup my copy of Zelda:TP onto a single layer DVD+R...

you do NOT need to use dual layer discs for ANY wii games right now! I have every wii game available in the U.S. backed up, ALL on single layer DVD-R's and ALL of them work. Of course I'm using wiikey cause the wiinja that I installed in it first BLOWS!! Only a couple of games worked so i ordered a wiikey and now all my games work.
One thing I would check is that the game you downloaded doesn't have the .wii ext. You have to unscramble it first to a .iso before you burn. Then it should work
