Hello,

I'm not sure if this is just me (probably is) but when I played my wii on a 32" tv I had no problems actually aiming in shooting games, it seemed to be easy and quick to react.

I just moved my wii to my 52" DLP tv and now the aim seems way off and very slow. Anyone else having this issue? I have the sensor on top of the tv and centered.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The larger TV sets might need a modification to the placement of the sensor bar. Experiment with the placement. Try putting it below the TV (change the placement in the settings first).

The way the bar works is simple. The bar contains IR LEDs that are placed appropriately and get power from the Wii. No data is sent through the cable from the sensor bar to the wii. This just provides power.

You might want to look into making your own sensor bar. One guy made one work with a movie theater screen. I'm sure that a 52" TV can be done just as easy.

Google homemade wii sensor bar. The parts cost like, $10. And it's wireless.

Thanks a lot for the info bass_hit, it is greatly appreciated. I guess maybe I'll have to put one together myself. Are there any companies currently manufacturering a more powerful sensor?

Is anyone else having the same issue as me with a big screen tv? Where the aim just seems off by a little bit? I'm not trying to be a perfectionist, but it's hard to shoot something when the aim seems off by 6 inches or so.

Thanks again!

I have a 53" set and it seems fine. I have mine placed below the screen on a riser. It's about 4 inches from the set and 16 inches off the floor and it tracks good.
